The first blog post is now out in the world where I shared all about just getting started. Just beginning, even if it’s imperfect or not all figured out-yet.
It’s officially started now… so what’s next?? So glad you asked. In this post I want to share a little about me, a little behind why I started Little Wildflower Co. and what’s on the horizon!
How it all began:
If you know me, you know I’m always chasing a new creative endeavor. I’ve always been a creative person, even from a young age. I loved to draw, doodle, paint, and create any form of art any chance I had. I took every art class offered in high school and always wanted to do something with art. But when college started and it was time to make a career choice, I knew I had to choose a “real” job so I got my degree in Occupational Therapy.
It wasn’t until 2019 when I really got back into art again. I started painting and decided to start sharing some of my art. This is when I first got bit by the entrepreneurial bug. I found I really loved creating for other people (besides just all my family who has collected my art my whole life!) and it brought so much joy to see people connect with my art. And hopefully my art brought them just as much joy.
Fast forward a few years, I reignited my passion for writing. I published my first children’s book and then a poetry/devotional book. It was a fun new way to incorporate my art with writing. I also started teaching kid’s yoga classes, along with still working with kid’s in OT. I then set out to learn more about mindfulness and journaling and also started painting journals…I began to see how all these endeavors connected together.
clearing the ‘multi-passionate traffic jam’
As you can imagine, exploring all those passions became a bit overwhelming. I wanted to do it all, all at once. My creative brain felt stretched and pulled in a 100 different directions. I was doing a lot of things, but not well or consistently. I was stuck in a “multi-passionate” traffic jam and going nowhere. Fast forward again to today….
I finally feel I have a clear vision. Creative clarity. My ideas and dreams are cohesive. Connected. My “AHA moment”… I realized just because I had burned out in the past doesn’t mean I can’t be successful now.
And I think it all began when my daughter was born.
I have a clear “why” now. She is my why and my inspiration. My motivation. I want to create to inspire her and to show her what hard work and chasing your dreams looks like…so I can also be present for our family.
Little Wildflower Co. was born when my daughter was born.

What’s it all about?
I have so many new ideas and plans to get Little Wildflower Co. up and running. But first, I figured I better share a little about what you can expect. As mentioned, Little Wildflower Co. is inspired by having a daughter. Everything I do is also inspired by nature and the God who created it all. One phrase from my book, “Mindful Beyond”, states “you are loved as a wildflower”. And those words have stuck with me in so many ways…motivating me to write my next children’s book. I want my daughter to always know she is loved. Loved by the same God who created every tiny detail of a wildflower. Something I want to remind every little girl…and their mamas too. I will share more on that in another post but for now, here’s what’s on the horizon for LWC:
- mindful tools to help your littles find their calm and bloom with confidence
- Positive affirmations- cards, art prints, notes, etc
- Mindfulness activities and meditations for kids, all inspired by nature
- A new children’s book- coming soon-SUMMER 2024
I am so glad you are here and can’t wait to share all that is ahead! Follow along on my Instagram @little_wildflowerco
